If you have been following the tech news, you will know that a battle is about to begin between these two brands, DJI and Insta360, on their latest products – DJI OSMO Pocket 4P and Insta360 Luna Ultra.
If you are thinking if I made a mistake as DJI has recently launched the DJI OSMO Pocket 4, I did not. This latest yet-to-launch OSMO Pocket 4P has dual lenses and DJI has just updated on their website on its existence. As for Insta360 Luna Ultra, there are so many leaks and sneak peeks, it is easy to check them out on YouTube or some social media platforms.
In my opinion, based on leaked or limited information, both of them look good on paper. Both will come with optical zoom lens but for the actual optical zoom length, there are no official data. Some says that Pocket 4P will have 3x optical zoom with the hybrid zoom that can go up to 6x. As for the Luna Ultra, it might have a better optical zoom and with hybrid zoom, it can go further than DJI’s Pocket 4P.
All of these specifications are just speculation. You will need to wait for the official announcement for the actual specs. What is the most interesting is that Luna Ultra might come with a detachable controller (with screen) based on the latest sneak peeks. If this is real, it will be a gamechanger for such devices.
